In the early 60s Baez represented the popular face of folk music, touring and singing at political events. She championed the work of Bob Dylan, her choice of material gradually moving away from traditional folk towards more politically aware work. Baez recorded for Vanguard for 12 years, from 1960 until 1972. This compilation includes all her hits, both British and American, from that period.
